Gold, Ages 13+ – Starting soon

Description

Arts Award Gold is a Level 3 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is designed for ages 13 and above. The award has 16 points on the UCAS tariff. To achieve a Gold Arts Award, young people collect evidence in an individual arts portfolio of their experiences of Personal arts development

1. Extending their art practice, experiencing another art form and creating new work
2. Being involved in the world of the arts through placements, volunteering, training and research
3. Reviewing arts events and finding out about artists or craftspeople and their career paths
4. Researching and making a case for an arts issue

The leadership of an art project

1. Planning a project, identifying the project’s aims and outcomes
2. Organising the people and resources
3. Delivering the project and managing the effectiveness of the project
4. Managing a public showing of the work
5. Reviewing their leadership development and finding effective ways to collect and evaluate feedback from participants, audience members and other stakeholders

Course provides:

• Monthly art box with materials
• Art tutor to provide feedback for each artwork submitted
• Portfolio application for Art Qualification
