Art and Design Teacher

About Us

We are looking for an inspirational teacher to start on an immediate basis.

As a creative, inspirational, and capable of Art and Design, you will use exceptional subject knowledge and experience of teaching from age 6+ to age 75+ to provide outstanding education for all the participants. You will be expected to teach and deliver Fine Art.

You will teach with passion, expertise, and energy, offering support to the learning of participants and groups and also contributing to the studio’s events and promotions.

The successful candidate will

  • Hold a good honours degree and a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Show excellent subject knowledge and passion for teaching.
  • Be committed to high standards and leadership.
  • Calm, professionalism, and good manners at all times.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating sensitivity
    to the needs and feelings of others.
  • Be able to form professional relationships with people from both within and
    outside the studio.
  • Be punctual and dressed professionally at all times
  • Be committed to working as part of the studio team.
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise and complete tasks, keeping all
    relevant management informed.
  • Must be MS Office literate and have some knowledge of essential design software.
  • Along with all team and participants at the studio, exercise their responsibility for health & safety and the safeguarding of young people.

You must be able to commute to Schools to deliver after-school clubs. If you are a motivational Teacher and can contribute to the studio’s continued success, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Duties

  • Provide guidance and support to young artists during workshops and studio sessions.
  • Help with techniques, materials, and creative processes as needed.
  • Help organise and set up workshops and events within the studio.
  • Assist in managing materials, tools, and resources during these sessions.
  • Support in curating and preparing artworks for display in the gallery space.
  • Assist in hanging, labelling, and maintaining the gallery exhibits.
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the studio regularly.
  • Organise and manage art supplies, tools, and equipment for easy accessibility.
  • Undertake day-to-day responsibilities, providing information about studio activities to customers

  • Proficient in using Google or similar software.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Previous experience is preferred in teams and independently.
  • Education: A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

  • Experience: Customer service: 2 years (preferred)

  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
