Learn about crafts and start up your own e-commerce business
‘Learn about crafts and start up your own e-commerce business’ course encompasses delivering various crafts activities like candle making, soap making, pyrography and wooden craft, jewellery making, clay modelling, ceramic decorating. Along with the crafts sessions, participants will learn about e-commerce strategies, take pictures of their products, online selling platforms, marketing tools, and provide the best customer service. The project is designed to support women out of work, mums with career breaks, or start a business that can fit their daily family life and participants over 16 years of age. The programme aims to develop new skills and gain confidence in starting their own business or progress them into employment. The sessions will be delivered at the Art classes group centre and organised by the ACG members in collaboration, who will provide the training in starting the e-commerce business.
Admission:
Each participant will take part in a 14 sessions course. Ongoing registrations will take place between 19. 01.2022 and 7.06.2022. Classes are taught on two days a week (Wednesdays 12:00 – 13:30 or Fridays 16.30:18:00) participants can take part in only one session per week. The course is free to attend. Curriculum:
STRUCTURE:
The program is divided into two units, one in learning crafts and one in e-commerce business. For the Learning about crafts unit, participants will explore activities like: – Pouring techniques – Soap making – Candle making – Decopatch objects – Mosaics – Mirror decorating – Pyrography – Resin lamps – Tie-dye fabric bags – Flower arrangements
The E-commerce business unit contains learning strategies like:
– Taking pictures of products
– Online selling platforms
– Marketing tools
– Customer service
Tutors:
• Lead tutor – Marinela Caldarus, an award-winning visual artist, featured in local newspapers and filmed for the Landscape Artists of the Year show at Sky Arts and shortlisted artist of the year in 2011 by the Artists and Illustrators magazine. Marinela is working in the community delivering art workshops since 2013.
• Ovais Shamsuddin. Ovais has experience in marketing and branding. He promotes Art Classes group and other E-business at an international level, and now he is selling his products through all social media and online selling platforms. Ovais Shamsuddin has developed an intensive practice in compiling social media campaigns and marketing programmes. Through his social media campaigns, Ovais captured the interest of the BBC South broadcasting team.
