In collaboration with the Community Learning and Skills Service – Slough Borough Council, we’re excited to announce a unique opportunity for you to delve into the rich tapestry of art and textile creation.
Join our community every Wednesday morning from 10-12 p.m. at the Art Classes Group studio in Slough from March 13th to April 10th, 2024. Let’s embark on a journey of artistic discovery together.

Section 1: Unleashing Creativity – Painting Beyond Boundaries: Discover the magic of painting as we kick off our community programme. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a novice, these sessions are designed to nurture your creative spirit. Share your experiences, learn new techniques, and witness the canvas come alive with your imagination.
Section 2: Stitching Stories – The Art of Textile Expression: Explore the stitching world and witness how needle and thread can be wielded to craft tales. From basic embroidery to intricate cross-stitch, these sessions promise to enhance your textile skills. Engage with the community as we share tips, patterns, and the joy of turning fabric into a medium for self-expression.
Section 3: Patchwork Quilts – Blankets of Unity: Immerse yourself in the artistry of patchwork quilt blankets. Learn the techniques behind creating cosy masterpieces that tell stories through fabric. Share your favourite quilt patterns, discuss the therapeutic nature of quilting, and understand how this timeless craft can bring communities together.
Section 4: Crafting Your Own Prayer Mat – A Personal Connection: In a unique twist, explore the spiritual aspect of textile creation by crafting your own prayer mat.
